Commissioner Aaron Jack has named Jeffrey S. Kruske General Counsel for the Office of the Kansas Securities Commissioner.
The General Counsel is the chief legal officer of the agency and oversees all legal, regulatory and enforcement actions for the Office.
A 2000 graduate of Washburn University School of Law, Kruske has been a securities litigator for the majority of his professional career, representing investors in securities disputes, and industry professionals in employment matters and regulatory investigations.
He was the principal attorney of his own law firm from 2002-2009 and recently merged his practice with Schlagel Kinzer, LLC in Olathe, Kansas.
While in private practice, Kruske successfully recovered millions of dollars in lost investments for Kansas residents.
Kruske was recently selected Chairman of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association Securities Committee. He is also a member of the Public Investors Bar Association and has been named to the Missouri/Kansas Superlawyers Rising Stars publication for 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
“The mission of this office is to protect and inform Kansas investors and to support the work of growing our state’s economy through capital formation, Jack stated. Jeff’s background and expertise in securities law makes him uniquely qualified to help us fulfill this mission. I am delighted that he has agreed to serve on my senior executive team and I look forward to working closely with him.”
